Holiday Campaign 2018
Holidays Campaign 2018
Marketing Campaign | Art Direction | Graphic Design | Photographic Styling | UI/UX
CLIENT
The Grommet is an eCommerce platform that launches undiscovered products and supports local makers and small businesses.
BRIEF
My role as art director and lead designer on the project was to create a marketing campaign for the holidays. I planned and art directed the photoshoot and also conceptualized and executed on all the assets.
SOLUTION
We brainstormed as a team to define a campaign direction and landed on Amazing gifts they’ve never seen as tagline. The visual concept consisted of happy looking people holding an intriguing gift. I made the decision to only show the smiles mostly to emphasis the gifts but also to reduce the image height so when used at the top of pages or emails the important content would remain above the fold. To add flexibility and more visual elements we also shot the gifts by themselves and I developed an iconography system.
Everything was shot in-house; given the low budget we wrapped the gifts ourselves and had employees and friends modeled for us.

A successful holiday-themed campaign that translated well on all platforms.
